The Brothers Grimm Lunch Break: The Complete Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm
A few times a week, over my lunch break, I will record, edit, and publish one of the original 250 fairy tales collected by the Brothers Grimm and translated to English by Dr. Jack Zipes.

All stories read by Eric Wagoner from The Complete Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm, translated by Jack Zipes (used with permission).

  • Wow! Thanks so much for your suggestions...unfortunately, I am presenting with another female, which now seems impossible to do unless one of us is the male. Then again, part of our grade lies in HOW we present it, so that may already be amusing in itself! You, on the other hand, are a natural with the readings…I’ve been seeing a huge comeback in the media with fairytales. Not to mention, there are three full courses revolving around Dr. Zipes right now at Hunter…that’s nine hours a day! I’m telling them all about your website. Thanks again!

  • Thanks, Heidi! Is your partner male? If so, I'd suggest "Clever Hans", as much of it is simple male/female conversation. Otherwise, this one here has been my favorite so far, followed by the Bremen Town Musicians.

  • This is great! I just started taking a Grimms Brothers/German Fairytale Course at Hunter College in NYC and enjoy listening; brings these tales to life! I have to present one with a partner for class presentation...any suggestions!?!? Thank you for taking your time, not to mention lunchbreak, to do this...
